Chrono Trigger for Nintendo DS announced
It’s basically just a port with accomodations for the DS’s screens, but I certainly wouldn’t mind an excuse to play this game again. Hopefully they’ll keep the extras from the PSX port.
And hopefully they’ll get going on THE NEXT ONE in the series. I refuse to believe it’s not going to happen…
Starcraft updated to no longer require the CD to play
Convenient. It’s neat that after 10 years, Blizzard is still making sure that this game runs well.
Also, did you know that it’s available as a download now?
Edit: turns out the same is true for WarCraft III, now; no extra file copying is necessary.
Edit 2: you can now register said games with Blizzard, and then download them again anytime, anywhere, just like Steam.
I received this in my e-mail. Does anyone know if this is true?

(For fun, compare to all the extensions that Windows users install to avoid displaying PDFs, due to the terrible and slow Adobe plugin.)

Great headline.
AT&T axes Apple’s lauded iPhone at-home activation, insists on making you wait in store
It’s a great day for AT&T news, eh? Ever notice how AT&T brings absolutely nothing to the user experience except pain?
While iPhone price is halved, AT&T raises price of starting monthly service by $10
This is exactly the opposite of what would get me to buy an iPhone. Sigh. I don’t mind paying for the device, but I simply don’t use $70 worth of cell phone service per month.
Moreover, this brings the total minimum price of the mandatory two-year contract up by $240, which is more than the amount of the iPhone price decrease ($200).
This is on top of the fact that AT&T has ended their revenue sharing agreement with Apple - they now get to keep it 100% of the monhtly service price to themselves.
While I usually try not to link rumours too much, this was too good to pass up:
Gizmodo has heard that PowerPC support may indeed be living on … contrary to running consensus that OS 10.6 “Snow Leopard” would only support Intel chips. [MacRumors]
Running consensus? So the rumour mill decides what Apple will and will not do, now? Or does the giant echo chamber that is the ‘blogosphere’ think that reality is a democracy? Hilarious.
